Watch and vote on Grad Slam live on May 4!

You’ve probably heard about Grad Slam, UC’s systemwide contest that challenges our graduate students to explain their research in three jargon-free minutes. On Thursday, May 4, you can tune in to watch the event live, check out the extraordinary work our graduate students are doing — and vote for the presentation you think is the best.
This year a new audience choice live voting feature has been added. As the first place champions from each UC campus square off for the systemwide trophy, you can watch the livestream and then vote for the presentation you thought was the best. The audience choice winner will receive a separate $1,000 award.

Time: 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Online voting will commence immediately following the talks and be open for 40 minutes.
The audience choice winner will be named after the 40-minute voting period, along with the first, second and third place winners chosen by a panel of expert judges, representing leaders from education, media and industry.
