Stigma-Free webinar on Nov. 1: Helping Doctors Stay Well
We depend on medical professionals to help us stay healthy and well. That responsibility, though — with the long hours and physical and emotional demands that come with it — can at times strain the emotional health of those who provide medical care.
Please join us for a new Stigma-Free webinar “Helping Doctors Stay Well: The Maintenance of Medical Faculty Wellbeing and Fitness to Practice at UC Davis” which will discuss physician burnout and what UC is doing to prevent it.
- Date: Thursday, Nov. 1
- Time: 10 to 11 a.m.
- Via Zoom: UCOP.zoom.us/j/5109879443
- By phone: Dial 669-900-6833, meeting ID: 510 987 9443
Two members of the UC Davis Health Medical Staff Wellbeing Committee — Peter Yellowlees, vice chair for faculty development and professor of psychiatry, and Margaret Rea, student wellness director — will discuss the committee’s work to protect the wellbeing of medical staff and ensure high quality patient care.
The Medical Staff Wellbeing Committee is a multidisciplinary committee that focuses on the prevention of physician burnout and other psychiatric and substance disorders, and on assisting and monitoring medical faculty with such disorders to ensure that they remain fit to practice.
All UC faculty, staff and students are invited to attend this webinar, sponsored by the Systemwide WellBeing Initiative.
