UC Berkeley’s Jepson Herbarium announces 2020 botany classes
The UC Berkeley Jepson Herbarium has recently announced its 2020 workshop series. UC staff and members of the public are invited to join fellow professional and amateur botanists for a range of public programs exploring the flora of California.
This year’s courses include workshops in botany, plant taxonomy, regional floras, ecology and more, including:
- Botanical Islands in the Northern Mojave Desert: Exploring the flora of the Amargosa River Basin
- Birds of the San Francisco Bay Area
- Flora of the Northern Mendocino Coast
- California’s Native Bees: Biology, Ecology, and Identification
- Seaweed Frolic in Monterey Bay
- Oaktober in Oaklandia: Nuts, Cups and Hairy Armpits
