The UC Berkeley Jepson Herbarium has recently announced its 2020 workshop series. UC staff and members of the public are invited to join fellow professional and amateur botanists for a range of public programs exploring the flora of California.

This year’s courses include workshops in botany, plant taxonomy, regional floras, ecology and more, including:

• Botanical Islands in the Northern Mojave Desert: Exploring the flora of the Amargosa River Basin
• Birds of the San Francisco Bay Area
• Flora of the Northern Mendocino Coast
• California’s Native Bees: Biology, Ecology, and Identification
• Seaweed Frolic in Monterey Bay
• Oaktober in Oaklandia: Nuts, Cups and Hairy Armpits
