Will your phone know it’s UCOPAlert calling?

If an emergency such as a fire, earthquake, building closure, public transit disruption or street protest occurs when you’re away from the office, UCOP leadership will notify staff through the UCOPAlert system. Two caveats: It’s an opt-in system and it’s up to you to get the message. Here’s how you can get the most from UCOPAlert.
If you haven’t yet, enroll today
- Log in to the UCOPAlert registration portal using your single sign-on username and password.
- Select “more devices” to add your home number, personal cell number or personal email. (Download a PDF of step-by-step instructions). If you want to receive text messages, be sure to add “SMS” as a device and enter your cell number, even if you’ve already listed your mobile phone.
- For instructions on prioritizing or customizing your alerts, visit the UCOPAlert site.
Save the UCOPAlert numbers
If UCOPAlert calls your home or cellphone with a voice message, the call will come from (866) 609-8026. UCOPAlert text messages will come from 246-39.
Add these numbers as contacts in your phone now. That way, if there is an emergency, your phone won’t flag these important messages as spam or suspicious activity.

When i tried to login into UCOP alert system. It’s says Access Denied.
