Try out the free Broadway shuttle
“The shuttle is fast, free and convenient – a great way to roam a little farther afield during the lunch hour than I normally would,” said Publications Coordinator Jennifer Forsberg about her first experience using the free service.
The bright green shuttles are newer AC Transit buses that offer passengers a comfortable ride to points of attraction in downtown Oakland. Service began on Tuesday, July 27.
Known as the “B,” the shuttle runs a loop between Jack London Square and Grand Avenue from 7:00 a.m.-7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Stops are at regular AC Transit bus stops, designated by the “B on Broadway” logo shown above. The regular schedule is every 15 minutes, but it runs every 10 minutes during commute hours and lunchtime. Click here to view a map of the shuttle stops.
You might even ride the shuttle to get to a meeting in another UCOP location. There are shuttle stops within close walking distance of 1111 Broadway and the Franklin and Kaiser buildings.
