President Drake approves 2021-22 salary increases for policy-covered staff
On May 21, 2021, Nancy Pluzdrak, executive director, UCOP Human Resources sent the following message to all UCOP staff:
Dear UCOP colleagues:
I am pleased to inform you that President Drake has approved a general 3% salary increase for policy-covered (non-represented) staff and academic appointees for the 2021-2022 fiscal year. Increases will take effect on July 1, 2021. We are working to implement this year’s salary increases as soon as possible, and our goal is for eligible employees to see the increase reflected in the July 30 pay for monthly employees and July 21 for bi-weekly employees.
This salary program recognizes the extraordinary efforts by employees during this past year, as well as the fact that policy-covered staff did not receive salary increases during the 2020-21 fiscal year. It is not a merit-based program; however, in order to be eligible, employees must have received a performance rating of “solid performance” or higher on their 2020-2021 performance review, and their start date must have been on or before December 31, 2020.
UCOP division leaders and managers will receive additional implementation details about the 2021-22 salary program from UCOP Human Resources. Salary increases for union-represented employees are governed by the relevant collective bargaining agreements.
If you have any questions about this year’s increase, please feel free to contact your department’s Human Resources business partner.
As always, thank you very much for your many contributions and dedication to UC and the people we serve.
