New NAM videos feature Carrie L. Byington and other Latinx UC doctors
In honor of National Hispanic Heritage Month, the National Academy of Medicine (NAM) has released videos and resources in English and Spanish to encourage members of the Hispanic/Latinx community to obtain COVID-19 vaccinations.
These videos, which complement an earlier video featuring Black NAM members, feature Hispanic/Latin(o/a) doctors from University of California Health (UCH) and other institutions sharing their support for the vaccines.
Participating UC doctors are:
- Dr. Carrie L. Byington, Executive Director and Head of UCH
- Dr. Claire Brindis, Director UCSF Institute for Health Policy Studies
- Dr. Elena Fuentes-Afflick, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, UCSF School of Medicine
- Dr. Jaime Sepulveda, Executive Director, UCSF Institute for Global Health Sciences
