PACSW presents: Adjusting to the New Normal – Stress Management
Stress is an inevitable part of life. Some stress is good, as it drives us into action, but long term, aka chronic, stress can wreak havoc on our physical and mental health. Learning to listen to our system’s alarm, and expanding our ability to cope is vital.
This Friday, Nov. 19, from 12-1 p.m. (PT), the President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW) presents Alison King, LCSW, of Health Net/MHN.
Alison will explain the various kinds of stress and their impact, and will provide evidence-based techniques to add to your personal stress-management strategy — especially as we move into the holiday season.

About PACSW
The President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women (PACSW) examines issues regarding the status of women at UCOP and analyzes existing policies, procedures and programs that affect those issues. We advance an agenda to improve the climate and opportunities for women at UCOP, identify and support model programs or activities, and recommend to the president changes that will afford women equal and fair access.
