United Airlines recently extended the status of select MileagePlus members through the end of January 2023. As United Airlines is one of the university’s preferred partners, the UC Central Travel Office asked airline representatives if they would consider extending this program to UC travelers who did not receive an extension. United Airlines agreed to reconsider travelers with United MileagePlus Premier Silver, Gold, Platinum or 1K status who submit additional details.

If you meet the criteria of United MileagePlus Premier Silver, Gold, Platinum or 1K status (read about status qualifications here), you can request reconsideration of your extension by submitting this form by end of business on Dec. 22, 2021. You must provide all requested information, including a brief reason why you would like an extension.

United will review extension requests by the end of January 2022. Approved extensions will be valid for one year — through January 2023. Once access to the reconsideration form is closed no other requests will be considered.
