6 UC professors earn 2022 Carnegie fellowships
Six University of California faculty were awarded prestigious Andrew Carnegie Fellowships in support of their scholarly research in the humanities and social sciences.
The new Carnegie fellows are:
- Rediet Abebe, assistant professor of computer science at UC Berkeley
- Judson Boomhower, assistant professor of economics at UC San Diego
- Michael Méndez, assistant professor of environmental policy and planning at UC Irvine
- Beth Rose Middleton Manning, professor of Native American Studies at UC Davis
- Daniel Treisman, professor of political science at UCLA
- Jessica Trounstine, Foundation Board of Trustees Presidential Chair and professor of political science, UC Merced
Each will receive a $200,000 stipend enabling them to devote significant time to scholarly research and writing.
