One weird fact about the town you grew up in: I’ll share two interesting facts: First, Pasadena is the hometown of Julia Child, who is credited with introducing Americans to French cuisine. Before that, she was a member of the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), the precursor to the CIA, during World War II. Second, the first cheeseburger was created in Old Pasadena (close to South Pasadena) in 1926.

If you could have any job in the world (besides the one you have now), it would be… To continue to serve my community

How long you’ve been a member: About 10 months

Your favorite part about belonging to this ERG: It is an honor to serve and take part in a diverse group for change and improvements

Why you hope other colleagues will consider joining your ERG: Participating is a great way to learn about people with diverse cultures in the UC system and the contributions they make to society and the communities they live in.
