Don't miss the first course in the Performance Management series—this Thursday, July 29—from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in Room 12322 of the Franklin Building. Get tips on how to work with your staff to identify meaningful performance expectations and how to communicate those expectations effectively.

Join the Office of Research and Graduate Studies on Monday, July 26, at 12 p.m. in Franklin, Room 11326, for a talk by Dr. Sharon Shoemaker, director of the California Institute of Food and Agricultural Research, on UC's effort to develop sustainable alternative energy/liquid fuel sources.
Ten UC teams, including one from UCOP, were named winners of the 2010 Larry L. Sautter Award for developing innovative technology systems related to academic recruitment, clinical trials, processing payroll charges and other services.
