Beginning Thursday, Dec. 22, UCOP will use Outlook to reserve conference rooms and schedule meetings. iSchedule, our former room reservation system, will no longer be used as of 5 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, and will be available in read-only mode for one month as a reference.
President Yudof named a 15-member advisory committee to conduct a national search for the next provost, the university's highest-ranking academic officer, to succeed Larry Pitts, who will step down from his post as provost and EVP of academic affairs in spring 2012.

On Dec. 2, UC President Mark Yudof spoke to the California Chamber of Commerce Board in San Francisco regarding misconceptions about the University of California. He titled his talk "A Baker's Dozen Myths about Higher Education."
UC announced on Monday, Dec. 12, that it has finalized a five-year agreement with the Coalition of University Employees on wages, benefits and other issues for more than 12,500 clerical staff.
Nina Chew joins UCOP's Local Human Resources team to manage its Disability and Leave of Absence Programs, including workers’ comp, return to work, FMLA and disability accommodations.
