Supervisors can fulfill the requirement to complete two hours of sexual harassment prevention training by attending a live session on Tuesday, April 12, 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., instead of taking the online course. Go to the UC Learning Center to enroll, as space will be limited.
Career staff would be allowed to voluntarily reduce their time and pay under a proposed program to help campuses address the current budget crisis. Staff may review the proposed program online and contact Michael Lum at michael.lum@ucop.edu until 5 p.m., Monday, May 2.
OPnet is UCOP's new wireless network. Available now, it is intended for UCOP employees and contractors and provides expanded coverage throughout the UCOP downtown Oakland buildings, enabling e-mail access in hallways, cubes and offices as well as conference rooms.

People in the United States are eating 21 times more sweet stuff today than the pilgrims and pioneers did. The sobering data were presented by UC scientists at a symposium on sugar and other sweeteners, sponsored by the Center for Obesity Assessment, Study and Treatment at UCSF, UCOP, UC Berkeley and UC Davis.
