Introducing the New Policy Administration System
As part of the Working Smarter initiative, the Universitywide Policy Office has designed a Policy Administration System (PAS) for developing, approving and managing systemwide policies.
The goal of this project is to produce plain language policies that may be easily understood and navigated as well as accessible from a single administrative policy website, and will be organized in a logical hierarchy.
After months of development and testing the pilot phase of the project will be launched in January 2012. There are two meetings scheduled. One from 1 to 3 p.m. Jan. 19 and the other from 10 a.m. to noon Feb. 6.
The Universitywide Policy Office will be extending invitations to all business units within UCOP to attend an introductory overview of the new SharePoint PAS policy approval process in the Franklin Lobby One conference room. We hope that those who are involved in developing systemwide policies will take this opportunity to learn about the new Policy Administration System process.
