Craving ribs? How about tacos or tortas?

Those are just some of the options you’ll have at lunchtime when The Lot at 1100 Broadway opens this Wednesday, June 21. On Thursday and Friday, the menu shifts to sushi, pizza, Southern comfort food and other tasty choices.

As previously announced in Link, the city of Oakland has asked the 1100 Broadway property owners to make The Lot available this summer for local food and entertainment. The fun begins this week with live music and a rotating line-up of food trucks that will be onsite from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. this Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

And if you’re looking for after-work fun, check out Latham Square (aka Broadway and Telegraph at 15th St.). From May through October, the city sponsors live music at that site from 5 to 8 p.m. on the third Thursday of the month.
