Thanks for giving: Donate blood and save a life

The need for blood never takes a holiday.
In fact, holidays are hard on the local blood supply. More people are on the road, often driving in a hurry, so there may be more accidents. And fewer people donate blood because they are busy with shopping and other holiday-related events.
Can you help make sure there is blood available for those in need this season? It only takes about an hour to give blood and your donation can save three lives. Someone will be thankful that you donated so that they can enjoy the holidays, too.
You can donate at an upcoming American Red Cross blood drive:

Time: 8:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
Location: In front of EBMUD building on 11th St. between Franklin and Webster, downtown Oakland
