Review changes to your paycheck due to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act
The IRS has issued new income tax withholding tables for 2018 that reflect changes made by the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. UC is updating payroll systems with the new tax tables, and changes should be reflected in paychecks issued on or after Feb. 1, 2018.
Although you are not required to take any action, you may wish to review and adjust your withholdings for 2018. To help you decide, UC will add an updated IRS tax withholding calculator to UCPath, along with updated DE4/W4 withholding forms, as soon as possible after the IRS releases them. The IRS is projecting completion of the calculator update by late February.
For 2019, the IRS anticipates making further changes involving withholding, so employees will be encouraged to file new Forms W-4 next year.
