Updates on 1100 Broadway: Who’s moving where and how to stay informed
UCOP Oakland staff who attended the breakfast sponsored by Ellis Partners on Oct. 12 were able to view the current plans for where UCOP departments will move when the new building is complete. A picture of ‘who-goes-where’ can be found here. As construction continues on the consolidated Oakland UCOP campus, there are resources to help employees stay updated:
An FAQ on this project has been uploaded into the 1100 Broadway Box folder that is open to all UCOP employees.
Upcoming brown bags
The Building and Administrative Service Center (BASC) will host several brown bag events to update UCOP staff about UCOP’s Space Consolidation Project and the ongoing development of the 1100 Broadway building. A Q&A session will follow each brown bag. These events are scheduled for the following times:
- Wednesday, Oct. 31, in Room 11326 from 1–2 p.m.
- Wednesday, Nov. 14, in Room 11326 from 12–1 p.m.
- Thursday, Nov. 29, in Room 5320 from 12–1 p.m.
- Wednesday, Dec. 12, in Room 11326 from 12–1 p.m.
BASC has established email listservs for updates on the development of the new UCOP campus, and for each of our buildings in Oakland. These will provide alerts regarding any disruption or activity related to the construction of 1100 Broadway and/or the many other high-rise construction projects occurring in downtown Oakland. (See the construction map in our public Box folder for more information on the location and size of these other projects.)
