Live virtual classes

Remarkable Remote Team
May 20, 9:30 a.m. – 12 p.m.
This highly interactive online live workshop is designed to help remote teams overcome traditional and new challenges, leveraging the latest research in mindfulness and emotional intelligence along with the latest technologies, tools and collaboration practices to maximize team performance and achieve crucial goals.

NEW — Microaggressions Part 2:  Individual and Institutional Strategies
May 26, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. | June 9, 1 – 3 p.m.
A continuation of the Microaggressions 1 training, this session will further develop participants’ understanding of how to respond to microaggressions in the workplace. Participants will learn when and how to respond to microaggressions, understand adaptive and maladaptive responses to microaggressions, learn organizational and structural interventions, role-play activities to practice responding to microaggressions and learn tips and tools for how to recover from receiving a microaggression. Microaggressions 1 is a prerequisite for this course.

NEW — Write Right! Baseline Business Writing Skills
June 16 and 17, 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Highly rated trainer Barbara Nelson of Nelson Communications will facilitate this virtual writing program, in two half-day sessions. Writing error-free messages can enhance both your image and UC’s, while boosting career opportunities and saving your department time and money. In this course, you’ll tackle the basics of business writing and feel confident that your communications are clear and correct.

Emotional Intelligence —Attain Results Through People
June 22, 9:30 – 11:30 a.m.
Discover the fundamentals of emotional intelligence. Participants will learn the various aspects of emotional intelligence, then practice formulating strategies and behaviors to cultivate it and develop it into an ongoing practice.

Understanding your Intercultural Conflict Style
June 24, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Participants will learn about a powerful model and assessment tool that can be used to better understand and resolve problems and conflicts across cultural differences. As part of this class, you will need to complete the Intercultural Conflict Styles Inventory (ICS®), which you will receive the assessment a week prior to the class.
