APISA to host inaugural UC AAPI Staff Symposium at UCOP
Members of the UCOP Asian Pacific Islander Staff Association (APISA) are pleased to announce that they will convene the inaugural UC Asian Amerian Pacific Islander (AAPI) Symposium at UCOP on April 26 from 1 – 5 p.m. (PT).
The symposium, based around the theme “Our Voices Are Your Voices,” is scheduled to align with the annual conference of Asian Pacific Americans in Higher Education (APAHE), which will take place from April 27 – April 28 at the Marriott Oakland City Center. APAHE, which was founded in 1987, is an organization devoted exclusively to addressing Asian Pacific American concerns and issues in higher education.
All UC staff are invited to join APISA in kicking off the APAHE conference with this free symposium, which will feature:
- A UCOP location-specific panel
- Remarks from President Drake
- A reception with light refreshments
- Networking and community building
