Managers’ Corner: Training on SB 1162 and the UCOP equity, diversity and inclusion framework
Two important new virtual training sessions are coming up for managers soon! Mark your calendar and plan to join us.
People Leaders Forum: SB 1162
June 9, 1 – 2 p.m. | Register here
The People Leaders Forum is a monthly opportunity for people managers to connect with one another to develop leadership skills, build community, share best practices, swap strategies for navigating current challenges and learn to better support themselves and their teams. In the June session, led by JJ Lerma, we will discuss California Senate Bill 1162 — a new law that requires employers to disclose pay scales on all job postings, as well as that of current employees, upon request. The intent is to ensure that job applicants are aware of the hiring salary range before applying for a position. Join us to learn more about the new law and what it means for you as a manager.

Managers’ update on the Unified Framework for Equity, Diversity & Inclusion and Anti-Racism at UCOP
June 16, 10 – 11 a.m. (PT) | Registration will be emailed soon to all managers and supervisors
Join the Office of Workplace Inclusion and Belonging for an update on the effort to develop a unified framework for equity, diversity & inclusion (EDI) and anti-racism at UCOP. The framework, which is being developed in partnership with the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Anti-Racism Advisory Group, will help guide shared accountability across UCOP for this critical work. During this event, exclusively for managers and supervisors, get an update on this work, including next steps, ask questions, provide feedback on the content and approach, and gain clarity on your role in advancing a culture of equity, diversity and inclusion at UCOP. Note that this meeting will be recorded and shared with those who are unable to attend.
