Why this conversation is important

UCOP’s Anti-Racism Task Force Report included recommendations for transitioning most UCOP affinity groups to Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) so they can provide input to UCOP leaders regarding the impact of potential policies, practices, and leadership decisions on employees.

What you’ll gain

  • Background information about ERGs, including their benefits to individuals and organizations
  • An understanding of the specific work and impact ERGs have had at UCOP since the 2020 Anti-Racism Task Force Report
  • Insight from ERG leaders who also hold managerial roles at UCOP about their experiences as ERG participants and people managers
  • An opportunity to meet peers from other UCOP teams and collectively think through ways to support staff participation in ERGs
