UCOP Latinx Staff Association (LaSA) members are celebrating Dia de los Muertos — Day of the Dead — all week long, and all UCOP colleagues are encouraged to participate.

Through Friday: Contribute to our ofrendas

Colleagues at all locations are encouraged to contribute to the virtual LaSA ofrenda!

The physical ofrenda will be in the Oakland Franklin building lobby through Friday, Nov. 2.

Please bring photos and other items that remind you of your departed loved ones. You can also write a note and leave it in a vase on the ofrenda.

(Please write your name on the back of any photos/decorations that you would like returned to you. We will safely discard the notes when the ofrenda is taken down for your privacy).

Wednesday: Decorate a calavera

The results of last year’s sugar skull decorating

A fun sugar skull decorating workshop will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 1, from 12 – 1:30 p.m. in Broadway 4001.

Please RSVP if you’d like to participate so that we can purchase appropriate supplies. The RSVP deadline has been extended to Oct. 31 at 5 p.m.
