March is Women’s History Month: Check out PACSW’s events

PACSW will feature UC Berkeley Chancellor Carol Christ on March 19 at 12 p.m. (PT).
International Women’s Day started in 1911 in Europe, but the beginnings of Women’s History Month date from a celebration in Santa Rosa, California in 1978. It is appropriate, then, that the President’s Advisory Committee on the Status of Women, aka PASCW, continues to do great work to promote the interests of women in the UCOP community here in California.
This year the theme of International Women’s Day is “Inspire Inclusion,” and towards that, PACSW has planned several events promoting networking and connection that are open to all UCOP staff.
March 12: Oakland PACSW International Women’s Day Party
Please join PACSW at the Broadway Conference Center in Oakland from 3 – 4:30 p.m. We will make friendship bracelets for International Women’s Day while enjoying light refreshments.
March 13: UCPath Center PACSW International Women’s Day Party
Please join PACSW at UCPath Room 2143 from 12 – 1:30 p.m. We will make friendship bracelets for International Women’s Day while enjoying light refreshments.
March 19: PACSW Women We Admire with Chancellor Carol T. Christ & Networking Event
12 – 12:45 p.m. — Fireside Chat with Chancellor Christ
Join us in Oakland, Franklin Lobby 1, or via Zoom (ucop.zoom.us/j/95440668093) for a special session of the Women We Admire Speaker Series Featuring UC Berkeley Chancellor Carol T. Christ. Chancellor Christ is a celebrated scholar of Victorian literature and a well-known advocate for quality, accessible public higher education; a proponent of the value of a broad education in the liberal arts and sciences; and a champion of women’s issues and diversity on college campuses. 12:45 – 1:30 p.m. — Oakland networking session
Oakland staff attending the event in person are invited to remain in Lobby 1 for a networking event featuring light refreshments following Chancellor Christ’s discussion.
March 27: PACSW 15th Anniversary Celebration
Please join PACSW at the Broadway Conference Center in Oakland from 2:30 – 4:30 p.m. as we celebrate 15 years of accomplishments with light refreshments! All are welcome, including PACSW alumni. PACSW leadership will share brief remarks at 3 p.m.
