The UCOP Staff@Work engagement survey launches Tuesday, July 9

The Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Department has partnered with UCOP Operations to launch the first-ever UCOP Staff@Work engagement survey. This is your chance to shape the future of our workplace by sharing your thoughts and experiences of working at UCOP. Please participate and make your voice heard!*

The Staff@Work survey is entirely anonymous and designed to measure six key dimensions of our workplace:

  • Overall satisfaction with UCOP
  • UCOP mission and goals
  • Division and department environment
  • Supervision
  • Employee environment
  • Equity, diversity and inclusion

We want to understand how our workplace affects diverse employee groups, so we have expanded the demographic categories. You will also have the option to anonymously self-identify.

The survey will launch on Tuesday, July 9. You will receive an email invitation from to take the Staff@Work survey, which will come from our survey partner, Tritonlytics, a survey consulting group at UC San Diego. This email will contain instructions and your unique survey link.

Protecting staff anonymity

We value your privacy. Each survey link is unique to ensure anonymity, and only Tritonlytics will have access to the raw survey data. UCOP leadership and others will not see individual responses.

About the survey results

The insights we gain from this survey will help us understand what drives staff satisfaction and engagement. With more participation, we can get more detailed results and make more meaningful improvements. Tritonlytics will provide benchmarking data specific to higher education, which will establish a baseline for results and allow UCOP to understand at a deeper level what we do well and where there is more work to be done.

How we’ll use the results

When the survey results are in this Fall, divisions and departments will develop action plans to address staff feedback, and the EDI Department will assist in the development of division and department EDI goals as part of the UCOP Strategic Framework.
