Water will be off in the Oakland Franklin building this Saturday, March 1
On Saturday, March 1, the Building and Administrative Service Center (BASC) will shut off all water services in the Oakland Franklin building from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Restrooms and kitchen areas will be unavailable during this time; however, on-site staff can access facilities in the Broadway building.
The water shut-off will allow BASC to complete essential plumbing work for our project to install single-use restrooms, which is on track for completion by April 2025.
Due to the building’s plumbing configuration, water services must be turned off on all floors during plumbing updates. BASC scheduled this work on a single weekend day to minimize disruption to staff.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we continue to upgrade our facilities to make them more accessible and inclusive for all UCOP staff and visitors.
For questions about the construction or restroom project, contact Facilities Project Manager Jihee Lee.
