The University of California is helping lead the U.S. effort to develop powerful quantum computers. UC campuses, including UC Berkeley, UCLA, and UC Santa Barbara, are working together on major research projects funded through the National Science Foundation and Department of Energy. These teams aim to solve big scientific challenges and build better quantum hardware and software. They’re also training new experts through special programs in quantum science. This work helps the U.S. stay ahead in the global race for quantum technology.
