UCOP has moved its photo library from Webdam to PhotoShelter, a new digital asset management platform that makes it faster and easier to find the images you need.

The UCOP photo library includes close to 10,000 images from across the University of California, with photography representing all 10 campuses and a wide range of UC people, places and activities. The library is available to UCOP staff for use in presentations, reports, communications and other university materials.

What’s new?

PhotoShelter offers a simpler, more intuitive way to browse and search the collection. One of the biggest improvements is AI-powered visual search, which allows you to describe what you’re looking for in everyday language and find images based on what appears in them.

Looking for a student using a laptop outdoors? A researcher working with laboratory equipment? Students collaborating? PhotoShelter can help you find them.

You can also continue to browse the library by campus and photo shoot if you prefer.

Along with improved search, PhotoShelter also allows you to crop images and download them at a range of sizes to suit your needs.

Getting started

UCOP staff can access PhotoShelter using their UCOP single sign-on credentials at ucop.photoshelter.site

In the top right corner, select Log In and then select the UCOP photo library login button that appears and follow the prompts to enter your UCOP credentials. (Do not click Sign Up.)
