Get well and stay well! UCOP wellness workshops continue this month
UCOP’s Wellness Program continues its series of brown bag sessions on health and wellness to help OP staff take charge of their health and fitness.
The series, which is cosponsored by Kaiser Permanente’s HealthWorks, continues this month with two sessions on “Preventing Diabetes,” held 12 to 1 p.m. as follows (click on event to add to your Outlook calendar):
If you have pre-diabetes or are at risk for developing diabetes, there are steps you can take, such as maintaining a healthy weight and good eating habits, and keeping physically active, that can help keep diabetes under control.
The workshops, taught by Kaiser health professionals, include exercises and tips you can use to help you maintain your health. There’s no need to sign up: If you’re interested in attending, just show up. (Note: These classes do not qualify for UC Living Well incentive points.)
Each month’s workshop features a new topic that will be repeated at both Franklin and Kaiser locations, and all OP staff and retirees and their families are invited to attend.
Look for more classes in new topics coming from May through December in the Link online calendar and in future issues of Link.
