Wellness workshops on domestic violence: Oct. 20 only
Please note that the UCOP Wellness brown bag on domestic violence, previously scheduled for Friday, Oct. 31, in 12322 Franklin, has been canceled. All interested staff are encouraged to attend the session Monday, Oct. 20, 12 to 1 p.m. at 502 Kaiser. This is the only time this session will be presented.
Domestic violence or abuse can be physical or emotional and can involve someone trying to hurt you or your children, trying to make you feel afraid, putting you down or threatening you. There are resources that can help victims care for themselves and their children.
The wellness series, cosponsored by Kaiser Permanente’s HealthWorks, is intended to help OP staff gain awareness of health and fitness issues. All workshops are taught by Kaiser health professionals. There’s no need to sign up; just show up. (Note: These classes do not qualify for UC Living Well incentive points.)
Each month’s workshop features a new topic, and all OP staff and retirees and their families are invited to attend.
Look for more workshops in new topics coming through December in the Link online calendar and in future issues of Link.
