Open Enrollment meets UCPath: Here’s what you need to know

As announced in last week’s Link, the Open Enrollment process for UCOP employees this year will be a little different as part of UCOP’s transition to UCPath. Instead of using At Your Service Online for Open Enrollment, you will complete a form and submit it electronically to the UCPath Center via a secure Web link. In future years, you’ll make your Open Enrollment elections online using the UCPath website.
This year’s Open Enrollment is Oct. 29-Nov. 24. Here’s a preview of what the process will look like:
- On Oct. 30, you will receive an email in your UCOP inbox with easy-to-follow instructions about how to obtain, complete and submit your Open Enrollment form.
- Using a link in the email, you will go online, download the form to your desktop and complete it.
- Once you’ve saved your completed form to your desktop, you will click on a secure personalized link provided in the email to submit your form electronically to UCPath.
- Once you’ve submitted your form, you will receive a confirmation email from the UCPath Center.
Not changing your benefits?
If you don’t want to change your benefits, you don’t need to do anything. Your current 2015 enrollments will roll over to 2016 — except for Flexible Spending Accounts. If you want to enroll in or continue your Health and/or Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account (FSA), you will need to submit an Open Enrollment form. FSA elections do not automatically roll over so you must re-enroll each calendar year.
Reviewing current benefits
You can view your current enrollments now and throughout the Open Enrollment period on At Your Service Online, but you cannot make benefits changes there. Beginning Dec. 7, you’ll be able to view your current 2015 enrollments, as well as your 2016 benefit elections via UCPath.
