Open Enrollment is coming soon — beginning on Thursday, Oct. 26 at 8 a.m. and ending on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 5 p.m.
Open Enrollment highlights for UCOP
You’ll enroll for benefits online on the UCPath portal again this year — look for the “UCOP employees” link on the Open Enrollment website. Here are a few highlights:
- Continued low costs — Most employees will see medical plan premium increases of less than $10 a month across all salary and coverage levels.
- Changes for 2018 — See UCnet for details about a new pharmacy benefits administrator for UC’s preferred provider organization (PPO) plans and a few other changes that may affect you.
- Ways to manage your costs and stay well — Your Open Enrollment booklet highlights suggestions for lowering your tax bill, choosing the right care, and making the most of your plan’s free preventive care and wellness offerings.

Tip: To add OP events to your personal Outlook calendar, go to the Link calendar and click on the event you want to attend. When the event window opens, choose the yellow “Export to Outlook” button and then save the event to your calendar.
Maybe most employees are having premium increases $10 or less, but for UC Care, it’s going up 10%! I’m outraged.
