Learn to manage conflict by understanding diversity
Did you know? Our cultural and social identities impact how we communicate — and how we react to conflict. This means that our everyday interactions are cross-cultural experiences.
On Tuesday, April 7, join Dr. Mikael Villalobos, associate chief diversity officer at UC Davis, for an in-person professional development workshop, Understanding Diversity in Communications and Conflict Management: Working Toward Greater Inclusion in the Workplace.
Register now!
In this workshop, participants will:
- Explore the impact of cultural and social identities — including gender, race or ethnicity, age and other factors — on how we communicate across cultural lines
- Discover how these diverse identities impact conflict modes
- Learn how to facilitate effective communication, managing individual and group conflicts
A virtual session is being planned and will be announced soon.
