New Fig. 1: Saving whales with breakthrough tech

People are fascinated by whales: Blue whales are the largest animals that have ever lived and gray whales migrate 10,000 miles. They all communicate with complex songs. Unfortunately, today, we all contribute to a whale’s biggest threat — something that kills an estimated 20,000 whales worldwide every year. Luckily, a new technology from UC Santa Barbara is helping to make a huge difference — and UC’s vibrant Fig. 1 video series has created a new video to celebrate these efforts. Watch it below.
