From President Drake: Take charge of the future
The California primary is March 5 — and at the University of California, we are continuing a proud tradition of civic engagement. We are equipping the UC community with helpful information and encouraging everyone to get engaged and to vote. Voting is the best way to make our voices heard and take charge of the future.
As Election Day approaches, here are some key dates and resources for California voters to keep in mind:
• February 20: Online registration deadline for the California primary election
• February 24: Early voting begins in California
• March 5: Last day to vote in the primary election in California
The University of California is the state’s third-largest employer, and UC faculty and staff have an unparalleled ability to use our voices and votes to influence public policies and choose elected officials — at every level of government. Check out and share these useful resources to help other voters on your campus and in your community get ready for the 2024 California Primary Election on March 5.
Fiat Lux!
Michael V. Drake, M.D.
