The Red Cross has issued an appeal for blood donors of all types due to a critical blood shortage nationwide. Make an appointment today to give blood on Thursday, July 21, when the Red Cross bus will visit the EBMUD Building, just one half-block from 1111 Franklin.

The Broadway Shuttle recently added service from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays and 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. Saturdays to its 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekday service to improve accessibility to Oakland's growing arts and entertainment scene.
Professor William Priedhorsky, program director of Laboratory-Directed Research and Development at Los Alamos National Laboratory, will speak at UCOP on Tuesday, July 19, 12 to 1 p.m., in 11326 Franklin in a talk hosted by VP Steve Beckwith.
