From computer programs like Outlook and Excel to time management and career development, UCOP’s Office of Human Resources Learning and Development can help you build your skills and grow your career with its rich program of workshop offerings, taught right here at UCOP.
An updated catalog listing all workshops and other programs, along with course descriptions, learning goals, target audiences and more, was recently published and distributed to all UCOP employees. In case you missed it, contact Sonya Hill at Sonya.Hill@ucop.edu for your copy.
There are workshops for multiple levels in communications, computer technology, performance management and career development. Offerings include a three-part series on project management and a two-part series on career management as well as individual classroom sessions on useful skills like conflict management, team dynamics, making presentations and leading effective meetings.

Those looking for training in leadership, management and supervision can also find special programs, such as the UCOP Leadership Development Program for emerging leaders and the Management Skills Assessment and UC Management Development programs for UC-specific management training.
Administrative and support staff have their own program, known as Take Charge, to address the special professional development needs of this critical component of UCOP’s workforce.
