University of California external website has a whole new look

Check out the completely redesigned universityofcalifornia.edu. UC’s Marketing Communications department has given it a whole new look and feel.

Why the big change?

First, we wanted a better way for visitors to discover and explore the amazing things happening across the UC system, from groundbreaking research and teaching to the countless ways the university’s work touches the lives of Californians and people around the world.

You may now browse by subject (interested in research? health? administrative news?), or dive into videos to hear from the brilliant people who make up the UC community. Get your quick hit of science by listening to Science Today right on-site, or check out how UC has been making news lately.

Second, we wanted to make it easier for visitors to find what they need: Direct links to our undergraduate admissions site and the UC campuses are right on the homepage. An overview of UC’s breadth is on the Parts of UC page. For members of the press, we’ve put resources in one place: Press Room features our latest releases, media contacts, fact sheets and other resources to help you get the information you need.

Finally, as a public institution, we strive to be the most cost-efficient, transparent and effective institution that we can be. Your partnership is essential to that effort. Learn more about governance and stewardship under the UC systems tab, or find a way to get involved under the Support UC section.

Though we’re thrilled about the new site and excited to see UC’s accomplishments reach a wider audience, we know some of you may have bookmarked the old UniversityofCalifornia.edu as a reference page. Here are a few links to help you track down what you need:

If you still can’t find what you’re looking for or would like to provide feedback on the new site, please contact us at webeditor@ucop.edu.

We’ll be constantly refining and improving the site in the coming weeks and months, including adding new features, but we think you will find there is already a lot there to explore and enjoy.

Sincerely,
UC Marketing Communications
