Demos of eAppraisal online appraisal system continue through July
With the introduction of eAppraisal, UCOP will this year be handling performance evaluations electronically.
This new tool will make performance reviews easier to do and expand their usefulness as a year-round planning and development resource for both employees and supervisors. It will also make it easier for employees to participate in their own career development.
All UCOP employees have received instructions for logging in to the eAppraisal system. Note that you will need to create a separate password and configure security questions in order to start using your eAppraisal account. (A single sign-on solution, which will allow you to log in with your regular system user name and password, is expected to be available this fall.)
You can learn more about the eAppraisal system by attending one of several demonstrations, scheduled for the next several weeks in all three of UCOP’s Oakland locations. Users from HR and Office of General Counsel, who have experience with the system, will be on hand to answer your questions.
All sessions will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., and there’s no need to sign up. (Click on the dates/locations below to add a specific session to your Outlook calendar):
- Monday, July 28, 415 20th St., room 302
- Tuesday, July 29, Franklin Lobby 1
- Wednesday, July 30, 1018 Kaiser
See the Performance Management website for links to additional resources and information about this year’s performance appraisals, including in-person classes for supervisors and employees, Quick Facts, FAQs and policies.
Reviews should cover the fiscal year from July 1, 2013, through June 30, 2014, and departments should plan to have all employee reviews completed by Tuesday, Sept. 30. (Some departments may establish an earlier timeline for employees in their areas.)
UCOP Local Human Resources is available to help support you throughout the performance appraisal process. For questions, please contact your HR Business Partner.
