Call for nominations and applications for the Employee Engagement and Diversity Group

In an effort to build upon the work that has been done to improve employee engagement and to cultivate a culture of inclusion, understanding, and sensitivity to diversity within our workplace, a new Employee Engagement and Diversity Group is being formed.

Co-led by Executive Director of UCOP Operations Thera Kalmijn and Program Manager of Culture, Engagement and Diversity Joanna Trammell, this group will not only address the issues that were revealed from the engagement survey, but will:

  1. Clearly define what employee engagement and diversity means for UCOP
  2. Work in partnership with the OP Staff Assembly to build upon the recommendations from OPSA
  3. Build on the employee engagement recommendations made by members from the Staff Development Program
  4. Execute the project plans and goals developed by members of the Operations team

The group will consist of approximately 10 members from the Oakland locations and representatives from the UCOP locations outside of Oakland.

The goal is to create a diverse team from all levels to represent the organization. Managers and supervisors are encouraged to nominate staff, and staff can nominate peers or themselves.

To find out more, please download the information and application package (PDF).  The deadline for all forms to be submitted is Tuesday, Oct. 18.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Joanna Trammell,  at Joanna.Trammell@ucop.edu or call 987-0839.
