New website launches to provide UC-branded promotional items
Does your job involve promoting UC programs or organizing UC events? Do you need some UC stationery or personalized business cards?
UCOP’s Marketing Communications department this week launched a new website, shop.ucop.edu, that will enable departments to order UC-branded stationery and promotional items from an approved, licensed vendor.
This new resource is designed to save the university money by centralizing and standardizing our orders for these products. The online store will also help streamline requests, and make it easier for departments to purchase official UC items. The buying process will have built-in adherence to UCOP procurement guidelines and ensure items are for approved use with business justification.
This new website is a critical tool in maintaining consistency for UC’s systemwide identity, ensuring that all representations of the University of California are approved and support our “Boldly Californian” brand platform.
The product assortment will expand in the future as needed. Business cards can be personalized, and department logos can be added to certain promotional items.
Each UCOP division has designated two official buyers (a primary and a back-up) who will place orders for its staff. All employees are free to view available items, but all orders must be placed through your division’s buyer and must be for approved business needs. If you’re not sure who your buyer is, please ask your supervisor.
