UCOP Mentorship Program information sessions this week

The UCOP Mentorship Program is seeking mentees and mentors for its next annual program beginning January 2019 and concluding in December 2019. The Mentorship Program is an exciting opportunity to share and learn career skills and leadership practices, guide and navigate the UCOP culture, and establish long term professional relationships.

The goal of the Mentorship Program is to create 25–30 mentor–mentee pairings that provide a supportive structure for UCOP employees to cultivate contacts, explore challenges and enhance their effectiveness as they grow both personally and professionally.

Interested in becoming a mentee?

The mentorship program is open to all UCOP staff members who have been at UCOP for six months or more. If you’re interested in becoming a mentee, you must submit your completed application to Talent and Organizational Development Manager Anne Prozan at Anne.Prozan@ucop.edu by Tuesday, Oct. 16. Please note that priority will be given to those who have not previously participated as a mentee.

Interested in becoming a mentor?

A mentor is an experienced UCOP leader or staff member with at least six months of UC service who is interested in helping others with professional and career development. Previous mentees are welcome to participate as mentors. If you’re interested in being a mentor for the coming year, please email Prozan at Anne.Prozan@ucop.edu by Wednesday, Oct. 10.

What are past participants saying about the program?

“I had a lot of valuable career guidance and coaching from my mentor. The support from my mentor, mentee cohort and Mentorship Program leader made my journey a great experience. I highly recommend the Mentorship Program to anyone who is interested in personal growth and building connections within the UCOP community.”

“I think I learned as much or more than my mentee!”
