New Oakland furniture: Last chance to preview and comment
If you’re an Oakland-based employee, you’re already gearing up for the 2020 move. The most exciting part about it? All Oakland workspaces will be outfitted with new ergonomically designed furniture.
The two finalist vendors — Steelcase and Herman Miller — have each set up a display of sample workspaces in Lobby 2 of the Franklin building. The displays will be open Monday through Friday, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., through July 19. All employees are encouraged to view and test out the new furniture, then submit comments via an online survey. Take the survey now!

Final furniture selections will be made soon after July 19, so please submit comments as early as possible to allow the Building and Administrative Services (BASC) team time to incorporate your feedback.
In the coming months, BASC will meet with each department to address specific employee needs. Furniture workshops will also be held this fall — stay tuned in to Link for more information.
