President Napolitano approves continuation of merit pay program for non-represented staff
President Napolitano has announced the approval of systemwide merit increases for non-represented staff for the fiscal year 2019-2020, with an overall budget of 3 percent for possible pay increases if performance criteria are met.
The merit pay program applies to non-represented staff in career or partial-year career appointments who meet performance criteria; it excludes student employees and anyone covered by Academic Personnel policies. Among the criteria, employees with a 2018 annual performance rating of “development needed/new and learning (tracking up)” or higher are eligible for a possible merit increase.
Your supervisor or manager will inform you about decisions on merit increases by August 29, 2019. If you receive a merit increase, it will appear in your September 4 biweekly paycheck, or September 1 monthly paycheck.
This increase is part of President’s Napolitano’s goal to implement regular, systemwide pay increases when possible to recognize the contributions of staff.
Wages for union-represented employees are governed by labor contracts and are not affected by this program.
If you have questions regarding your eligibility for a merit increase, please talk to your supervisor.
