Reminder: UnifyHR verifies dependent benefits

UC requires all faculty, staff and retirees who enroll family members in their medical, dental and/or vision insurance plans to provide documents to verify their family members’ eligibility for coverage. This verification process is administered by UnifyHR.

UnifyHR verification process

If you enroll new family members during the year or Open Enrollment, you will receive a packet of materials from UnifyHR to help them complete the verification process.

UnifyHR will reach out by mail if they require additional documentation to establish coverage eligibility. Please respond promptly. UnifyHR will send an email and make one phone call if they have not received required documents by the deadline, but if you do not respond on time, you risk disenrollment of your dependents from UC benefits. You will receive a letter of cancellation if your dependents are disenrolled.
