Introducing the UCOP Culture and Connectivity Initiative and website
At UCOP, we are proud of our colleagues’ commitment to UC’s mission and our ability to maintain standards of excellence during these uncertain times. We are continuing to advance our core values by working collaboratively, finding innovative ways to support our communities, practicing integrity and holding each other accountable — all while being considerate of our colleagues’ individual needs.
To support staff during shelter-in-place requirements, UCOP Operations has established a Culture and Connectivity Initiative and website. Every week, we will share resources and information to support your remote-work experience, from well-being and self-care to work-life balance. Visit the site often for articles, activities, webinars and more.
Sample resources include:
- UCLA Mindful App (free guided meditations and mindfulness tools)
- Advice for helping children cope with emergencies
- Guidance on the benefits of practicing gratitude
“Our goal is to help you stay connected, healthy and productive,” says Francesca Galarraga, Ph.D., organizational consultant, UCOP Culture, Engagement, Diversity and Inclusion. “Whether you have experience in telecommuting or are working remotely for the first time, adopting a new work style and responding to social-distancing restrictions can be challenging. We appreciate all of the work you do to make UCOP successful and we are here to support you during this time.”
