July 10: Friday Meet-up — Support for feeling overwhelmed

If you’ve been feeling overwhelmed lately, you’re not alone. This Friday, join the UCOP Culture and Connectivity and Human Resources teams in exploring the aspects of overwhelm and contributing factors. You’ll learn techniques to regulate emotions and combat the depleting experience that overwhelm brings on. This workshop will be led by Dr. Paula Trejo-Phillips, Psy.D., a counselor for the UCOP and UCSF Faculty and Staff Assistance Programs. Her specialty areas include post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety, depression, multiculturalism, coping with chronic medical illness and end-of-life issues.

July 31: Find opportunities for growth during COVID-19

The COVID-19 pandemic is challenging and stressful, but it can also provide an opportunity for personal growth. Learn how you can make the most of this time with real-world resources for personal well-being and personal growth with one of UCOP’s own leaders — Ola Popoola. In addition to serving as director of reporting and analytics for Institutional Research and Academic Planning at OP, Ola is the founder of Divine Strategies for Living, where she serves as a keynote speaker, life coach, personal development coach and career coach. She has provided leadership training, strategic planning services, staff development and executive coaching for a variety of professionals and industries.

August 7: Job security and how to help others

Save the date for the next event in our popular Friday Meet-ups series. These hour-long sessions provide tips, tools and resources on a variety of topics, from well-being and self-care to staying connected with your team. The series begins with workshops based on staff feedback received through the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) survey. More information and registration details for August 7 and other upcoming sessions will be announced soon.
