Halogen is closing: Save your archived appraisals
UCOP has phased out the old Halogen performance appraisal system for STEP (Staff Talent Evaluation Process) — our new appraisal system. The Halogen system will close on Nov. 13, 2020. While you won’t need to use Halogen for your 2020-2021 appraisals or going forward, please take a moment to save copies of your previous appraisals and goals. Here are some questions and answers to clarify this process.
By when do I need to save my old records?
The system will close on Nov. 13, 2020 at 5 p.m. (PT).
How do I access my old appraisals and goals in Halogen?
Log in to the Halogen website, using your single sign-on username and password. From the top menu (three horizontal lines), select My Performance. On the next screen, use the tabs under My Performance to navigate to, view, and save your records as PDFs — including Goals, Development Plans, Feedback, Evaluations, and Documents. Please note that you may not have records in every section. Download step-by-step instructions.
Why do I need my old appraisals and goals?
In the future, you may find that it is helpful for you or your manager to review these documents when assessing your performance and development over time. We recommend that you save them just in case, since you will lose access when the system closes.
I’m a new UCOP employee and have never used Halogen. Do I need to do anything?
Nope — you’re all set.
Who can I contact with questions about Halogen?
Please speak with your HR business partner.
