UCOP Mentorship Program
The UCOP Mentorship Program is an exciting opportunity to share and learn career skills and leadership practices, guide and navigate the UCOP culture, and establish long-term professional relationships. The 2024 program will be available both in person and/or virtually to match the needs of mentors and mentees. The goal of the program is to create mentor–mentee pairings that provide a supportive structure for UCOP employees to cultivate contacts, explore challenges and enhance their effectiveness as they grow personally and professionally.

Take Charge: Developing a Career Strategy
If you’re an administrative, support or entry-level staff member who’s ready to take your career to the next level, check out Take Charge: Developing a Career Strategy! This six-month program, sponsored by UCOP’s Learning & Development team, will give you the tools you need to thrive in the workplace for years to come. Co-led by Amy Levine, Ed.D., and Vanessa George, M.B.A., this program will give you the tools you need to take your career to the next level and thrive in the workplace for years to come. Complete the program application by Friday, Dec. 8.
Making Power Moves: Women and Leadership
Making Power Moves is an exceptional career development opportunity for women-identifying individuals who manage people or projects. It is designed expressly for UCOP staff and sessions reflect the unique UCOP environment. Led by Amy Levine, a certified leadership coach, educator and consultant with over 30 years’ experience working with individuals and groups to assist them in reaching their goals, Making Power Moves has consistently received overwhelmingly positive feedback and has resulted in great outcomes for past participants. This is an exceptional career development opportunity for women-identifying individuals who manage people or projects. Space is limited to 22 participants and seats will be given in the order in which registration and payment are received. Apply for Making Power Moves by Friday, Dec. 8.
People Management Integrated Learning Program
If you’ve been looking for a way to boost your career by learning to become a people manager, or enhancing your leadership skills, check out the People Management Integrated Learning Program (PM-ILP) — a cohort training opportunity from UCOP Learning and Development. In 2024, we are offering two cohorts: a fully virtual cohort for 100% remote employees and a fully in-person cohort for hybrid and in-person Oakland employees. Complete the 2024 Program Application by Friday, Dec. 1.
